A Coffee with Anderson Locatelli
At Wolfox, we believe that every cup tells a story. Behind each brew is a journey of passion, craftsmanship, and dedication. Today, we are having a coffee with Anderson, the Head of Coffee at Wolfox, who has been the face and soul of this brand for several years. Here are six questions we asked him, along with his insightful replies. Anderson is the driving force behind Wolfox’s coffee selection and quality. With years of experience in sourcing and crafting specialty coffee, he has dedicated his career to finding the finest beans and ensuring that every cup delivers an exceptional experience. His passion for coffee extends beyond the drink itself, he sees it as a way to bring people together, share cultures, and tell stories.
1. What coffee does Anderson drink himself?
A good cup of hot black coffee just like David Lynch would say! I like to start with a long black. Perfect espresso ratio diluted into the water. I can reasonate with more full body coffees.
2. What does Wolfox Coffee mean to you?
Wolfox is a connection of many great things, starting with aggregate quality on the craft allowing the community to interact over a coffee; the brand did that over the years elevating the coffee experience and the quality of the coffee and its products!
3. What other passions do you have besides coffee?
I love visiting places and learn the cultures. Visiting exhibitions about old and new artists. Also really into football and wine! They all merge well
4. Where would you like to travel next to explore coffee plantations?
After spending great time in Peru and Brazil, would be amazing to see Ethiopia. As we work very close to some of the producers. I Would love to see their production closely one day!
5. How is coffee culture evolving according to you?
The specialty coffee has been facing some challenges in the last years. Both climate conditions that changed or also the demand for coffee across the globe has created this crisis on prices we see lately but also on the good side. We have had awesome crops from small producers. All their effort being paid for! Creating more interaction on close relationships with farmers has allowed both sides to improve quality and value the landscape. It’s noticeable seeing the farmers keeping up with their landscape ensuring they have the majority of it protected . Also the only way to get this right and get good quality green coffee and prices that incentivizes the global growers is by working together.
6. Tell our readers why your coffee is unique.
We have been out there meeting amazing people to select coffees that are inspiring whether for their own qualities and also the beautiful stories behind each person involved. It’s such a long process to get the green coffee out of the coffee trees, process it, ship it. We want to make sure the quality will justify as well as valuing each stage it takes so we can continue to give you best coffee quality we can get!
